The Baltimore Composers Forum will hold its annual fund-raising concert on Sunday, April 30, 2006. The performance will take place at An die Musik, 407 N. Charles St., and starts at 3pm.
Featured composers will include: Bruno Amato, James Brody, Keith Kramer, Todd Marcus, Jonathan Morris, Vivian Adelberg Rudow, and George F. Spicka. Works will range in style from pieces for solo instruments to vocal, electronic, and jazz influenced chamber selections.
Since its inception in 1992, The BCF has presented over 300 original works by Baltimore area composers, many of them premieres. BCF's public concerts have been organized around various themes ranging from traditional solo and ensemble pieces to interactive computer and and multi-media works. This past year, the organization has been featured twice on Maryland Public Television?s ?Artworks This Week.? It presented the ?First Annual Baltimore Jazz Composers Showcase last October at the Eubie Blake National Jazz Institute and Cultural Center, which was also featured in the Baltimore Sun.
Admission is $12-general / $10 for seniors and students.
