Alt-country pioneers Cowboy Junkies will play Albany`s Empire State Plaza this summer as part of Plaza Music Fest. Led by lead singer Margo Timmins and her sibling guitarist, and the band`s chief songwriter, Michael, The Junkies (who are neither cowboys nor junkies) formed in Toronto twenty-three years ago and broke onto the international scene with The Trinity Session, a haunting album that was recorded live on a single microphone at Toronto`s Church of the Holy Trinity.
