Alex Russell will outline the basics of Ajax, exploring terms, technologies and tools. Ajax is the next step of the web's evolution towards more responsive applications, like Google Maps and Google Suggest. Join us in getting a firm grounding in the fundamentals of this technology, one which is quickly taking the web by storm.

Alex Russell is President of the Dojo Foundation and a co-founder of the Dojo Toolkit project. Prior to his work on Dojo, Alex was Project Lead for the netWindows DHTML toolkit and an Editor of the OWASP Guide to Building Secure Web Applications. Alex blogs at http://alex.dojotoolkit.org. Boyfriend of SF WoW member Jennifer Tharp, Alex has been a friend of SF WoW since he moved here from Madison, WI.
