The one-day conference will present the results of the "New Media: Advocacy through Blogging" pilot-program of the Soros Foundation Romania.

The first part of the conference will be dedicated to presentations made by the five teams of NGOs & new media experts involved in the project.

During the second part of the day, an expert in social media, Beth Kanter (Boston, USA), trainer and author of the blog "How Non-profits Can Use Social Media" , will hold a workshop on the effective use of blogs and other social media tools for obtaining social change.
