Everyone's talking about clean technology and a new wave of investments rolling in to fund companies in this sector. Where's the truth and where's the fiction? Will the funding come from angel investors, venture capitalists or project finance? And what does this mean for startups? Steve Bengston will present an overview of the investments in the sector and trends by technology within the industry (solar, biofuels, energy...) and then our veteran VC panel will discuss and debate where they feel the opportunities are and what the trends are going forward.

About the Speakers:
Steve Bengston, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, runs the Emerging Company Services (ECS) group at PricewaterhouseCoopers. ECS helps companies informally with referrals to investors and other people that can help startups and more formally with services like audit and tax.

Steve Eichenlaub, Managing Director, Intel Capital. Steve has been with Intel and Intel Capital since 1998. As managing director of strategic investments aligned with Intel's central labs (the Corporate Technology Group) and head of the Cleantech investment focus, Steve leads a team of investment managers driving equity and/or technology licensing relationships with emerging companies.

Peter Nieh, Managing Director, Lightspeed Venture Partners. Peter is a founder of Lightspeed, covering the areas of cleantech, software and the Internet.

Allison Leopold Tilley, Pillsbury Winthrop, Allison Leopold Tilley, a partner at Pillsbury Winthrop, focuses on the representation of technology companies in securities and venture capital transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private placements, public offerings, venture funds and joint ventures.
