Pilgrim Hall Museum?s new temporary exhibition looks at four centuries of death, funeral and mourning customs in Southeastern Massachusetts and Eastern Rhode Island. On display will be original wills, gravestones, mourning scenes made of needlework, paper, and ivory, mourning jewelry and clothing, broadside eulogies, and historic and contemporary photographs. The exhibit is generously sponsored by Eastern Bank.
Pilgrim Hall Museum is located at 75 Court Street, Plymouth, MA, and is open daily, except January. The exhibit will be on display from May 20, 2006 through April 30, 2007.
