Go Going Gone Girls (w/Klaus Flouride), The Boss Martians
Saturday August 23, 2008 at 8:00pm
Hemlock Tavern
1131 Polk St.
San Francisco, California 94109 Get Directions

If you love dogs, or you love someone who loves dogs, or you love someone who looks like a dog, or you love the music of someone who loves or looks like a dog, or if you hate all of the above and just feel guilty about it, donate to the "Hear, Boy" Action Fund on behalf of Bodie, the mascot and patron saint of the Go-Going-Gone Girls. At only three years old, Bodie the yellow lab has become deaf as a result of prolonged treatment with an antibiotic prescribed to treat a MRSA (meth-resistant staph infection) he contracted after surgery for a torn knee ligament. As a young go-go pup, he's an active fellow with lots of shimmy shaking left in him (and much to the band's chagrin, he seems to enjoy practices even more now), but at seven grand and counting in vet bills, he needs your help to add the h back to ear.

Every dollar donated toward Bodie's cause will count toward a lotto ticket for the "Win a Date with the Go-Going-Gone Girls" raffle, with a random drawing to be held August 23 at San Francisco's Hemlock Tavern at what promises to be a rave-up performance of the G4s (with special guests the Boss Martians) and will simultaneously help fund Bodie's ongoing medical treatments. You do not need to be present to win (though it would be more fun if you were!), and every donation is redeemable for a private lesson in how to do the Dog (it's a dance, you guys).
