Lake of Stars launch a new event at Rich Mix featuring Olympic sports, markets, live music and art.

Market Club is a new kind of free event for Rich Mix that will brighten up your Sundays.

The finest festival team in the world are kicking off the New Year moving their Wednesday night sessions to monthly Sunday celebrations of art, music, film, markets and Olympic sports. Market Club will focus on a different sport each month with things kicking off with table tennis in February. There will be a demonstration and training by professionals then a chance for everyone to join in. Ping Pong veterans, the Young Offenders Institute, will be there to help get things going using their unique round robin game. Fencing and indoor rowing are planned for March and April dates.

The award winning Lake of Stars project brings a tropical slice of its international festival vibe to the heart of Shoreditch. Expect everything from soulful folk acts to afrobeat MCs, digital exhibitions, indie bands, fashion stalls and DJs.

Live music comes from the brilliant The Thirst and the soulful Embers (spotted supporting Ghostpoet) plus laid back Sunday sets from Lake of Stars veteran Goldierocks, The Young Offenders Institute DJ’s. And a very special secret DJ set from one of the festival’s favourite artists.

Market Club is the only place where you can watch a matinee, do some shopping, enjoy live music then try out a relay marathon challenge – 26 runners, 1 mile each.
