'The Condition of Muzak': an evening of new instrumental electronica. Modern Institute is electronics meshed with cello from Italy?s Teho Teardo and Martina Bertoni. Label friends include Oblong, the new project from Expanding Records? very own ?Benge?, and Orla Ben, whose beautifully detailed landscapes are constructed in an isolated Scottish cottage. With visuals from Brussels-based Ewo and DJs providing sonic links between bands, Expanding Records put the show back into showcase.
