SOOTHSAYERS live 7 piece band. An organic and uplifting mix of Afrobeat, reggae, funk and urban jazz with an underlying groove of deep dub.

Over recent years the band have also performed and recorded with an impressive array of guest vocalists such as Jamaican reggae great Johnny Clarke, Maxi Jazz (Faithless) and Nigerian Afro soul star Keziah Jones. Jamaican singers Lutan Fyah and Cornell Campbell are the latest artists to contribute their unique talent in a recent recording session at the legendary Bunny ‘Striker’ Lee’s studio in Kingston , Jamaica.

Recent performances include the first ever Dhaka World Music Festival (Bangladesh Feb 2011). Glastonbury (Uk) , Rototom (Italy) , Reggaeland (Poland). As well as this Idris and Robin have both been key players in the on stage band in FELA! at London’s National Theatre (Jan 2011).
