Scala mixes functional and object-orientated programming together in a language that is expressive and terse and which runs on the JVM. It will be familiar to Java programmers but there is a lot more to this language than just being a lighter version of Java.

The London Scala User Group will be meeting up to discuss Scala and this meeting will feature an Introduction to Scala talk by Jamie Webb and a code dojo to get hands on with some code.
