Grammy-nominated producer/composer/trombonist Wayne Wallace is a Bay Area icon for his contributions to Jazz and Latin Jazz. Known in the Bay Area as “the Doctor” for his arranging and composing skills, he specializes in Afro-Caribbean rhythms interlaced with modern jazz harmonies that will get you on your feet! He brings his fiery Latin Jazz Quintet to the De Young Museum as part of the museum's ongoing concert series.

The group also features Murray Low on piano, Michael Spiro on percussion, David Belove on bass and Paul Van Wageningen on trap drums. The quintet has just recorded their debut CD for release later this year.
