Abstract:
Solr opens up the power of Lucene as a general-purpose search platform, easily integrated with most any environment. Solr's capabilities include faceting, caching, replication, distributed search, and much more. This talk will cover these features of Solr and showcase several applications that have been built on top of Solr,
as well as several live demonstrations of Solr in action.

Speaker Bio:
Erik Hatcher loves Lucene! And has seen the light with Solr. Erik co-authored "Lucene in Action" (with 2nd edition now in progress), and has spoken on Solr/Lucene and many other developer topics around the world at various conferences, symposiums, and user groups.
