Elle Jay
Elle started out vocally singing jazz lead, solo musical theatre pieces and vocals for a Christian band. Writing my own songs and completing a 1st class degree in English Literature, I started playing/singing my own original material and covers at acoustic cafe nights in Liverpool. I recorded two demos and in 2008, started gigging and showcasing original material around London with guitarist Dan Storey and an acoustic band. In December 08 I sang for David Grindrod and Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber, being shortlisted for a BBC show. In January 09 I formed my full electric band and we have since played all over London including at Café de Paris, The Spice of Life and at The Cavern, Liverpool. My Lucky One (2009) and Addicted (2010) EPs are on sale from itunes, www.cdbaby.com, www.amazon.com and more and have received nationwide radio play and numerous featured artist slots. I have a forthcoming release with Elation records later this year. My biggest pop influences are Madonna, Britney Spears, Pink, Jewel and Delta Goodrum. My songs are catchy, moody, heartfelt and assertive. My ballads are likened to Delta and my dance tracks are likened to Madonna the most! I work with Elation Music, Deuce Promotions, UpAllNight, Substance, DeadOrAlive and Micky P Music Promotions
