One of London’s original Cuban salsa dance parties - El Rumbon Cubano - takes place on Sunday 13th November at Club Costa Dorada.

An authentic Cuban night where you can dance the night away to top DJs playing the cream of Cuban salsa, timba, son & reggaeton, and listen to some of the best of Cuba’s UK based musicians playing live.

This month the party features two of the Cuban music scene’s best known DJ’s - Flecha and Richie Rich, spinning an assortment of superb salsa, timba, son, reggaeton and more.

Come down and listen to DJ Flecha – former DJ of Havana’s Casa de la Musica, playing the best of Latin and Cuban grooves (Son, Montuno, Guaracha, Mambo, Cha Cha Cha, Rumba, Guaguancó, Salsa, Timba, Merengue, Bachata, Reggaeton, Samba, Ballenato, Cumbia). Flecha has deejayed with some of the best of Cuba’s bands such as The Afro-Cuban All-Stars, Los Van Van, Isaac Delgado, Bamboleo and Eliades Ochoa.

DJ Richie Rich - the man, the myth, the music…the cap! A veteran of the London salsa scene, Rich first offered up his services as a teacher and DJ as the world entered the new millennium. Teaching and dropping tunes at Bar Cuba in High Street Kensington was an auspicious start to a glowing career. Rich’s popularity as a Cuban DJ might be condensed into one vital element. While he is renowned for mixing some of the hottest, cutting edge pre-release demos into his sets, he, unequivocally plays for the dancers. Because for him, the challenging work of taking people through a rich and varied night of fantastic music, while keeping them on the beautiful Cuban dance floor, is precisely what it’s all about.

The Rumbon always features a dance class and in November Cuban dancer and member of the dance troupe CubanaDanza, David Martinez will be teaching one of his very popular salsaton classes.
