Hailing from Havana, Cuba, Pedrito Vargas is the former percussionist of Barbarito Torres. Torres is a veteran of the legendary Buena Vista Social Club and a 2004 Grammy nominee.

Timba is contemporary Cuban dance music that combines the elements of traditional Cuban music (like Rumba, Son Montuno) with Funk, R&B and Hip Hop to create rhythmically explosive and infectious dance music.
