Christmas Jamm
Thursday December 22, 2011 at 10:00pm
Jamm
261 Brixton Road
London, England SW9 Get Directions
After September's Hemstock festival, the team behind the final outdoor shenanigans of the summer thought they'd change things up and start your Christmas celebrations off in style. Taking full advantage of the live room stage, expect the best vocalists in Jungle, Reggae and Hip Hop; bringing live performances backed by some seriously good tunes to groove to. You will note below that there are no punches pulled with the line up!

On top of that they've invited garage legend EL-B to headline room 2, warmed up by Anyguy and Buzzlin. Following this, they turn the room over to Mr Park Ranger, Pelski and Charles Darkly spinning the best in house, techno and electronic music. Real Nice will then be conducting the last dance before Xmas in the way that only they know best...

With a line up like you see below, I wouldn't rely on getting tickets on the door, so be sure to get your tickets early.

Artists:

General Levy
'Jungle is Massive'.., said the king of the 90's jungle scene General Levy in his jungle anthem 'Incredible', and it still is. Known for his fast ragga flow, bouncy beats and energetic sets, he's set to tear up the stage and have the crowd really going.

Rodney P & Skitz
The Godfathers of UK Hip Hop.... with Rodney on the mic and legendary producer Daddy Skitz behind the decks UK Hip hop doesn't come any finer.

El-B
At the turn of the century he was the first artist to bring a dark edge to UK Garage, inspiring countless producers such as the likes of Digital Mystikz, Skream and Burial, in turn giving birth to what became known as dubstep. Sticking to his guns El-B has continued to produce intelligent and intricate music; a true master of the UK garage genre.

Deadly Hunta
Ragga vocalist Deadly Hunta is known for filling the stage with his energetic performances. Backed by Reality Shock producer Kris Kemist's digital dancehall, this is the cream of the crop in British reggae music today. If you don't know him you'll recognise his voice, having lent lyrics to a host of legendary artists across the genres. What's more he'll be fresh from the launch of his new album Speak My Mind on the 1st of December.

Kris Kemist, Reality Shock + Guests
The man behind the sound of Reality Shock, creating digital dancehall with a serious groove. The reality shock label is without out a doubt the most interesting and progressive reggae label around in the UK today. Kris has always got artists hanging around the studio, and he'll be bringing a few along to showcase on the night. Do give Reality Shock a look and you'll no doubt find some damn good music.

Skinshape
His productions incorporate elements of reggae, dub, hip-hop, psychedelica and electronica, using real instruments to produce an organic sound coupled with a tasteful array of samples from across the genres; creating a truly unique sound.
