Arkitekt welcomes 2012 in stunning style with a panoramic blast of house and techno in Leeds’ Vox club. A brand new clubbing space based minutes away from the city centre, Vox boasts stunning stripped red brick walls, high ceilings and a plush stainless steel exterior; the perfect acid house environ with a contemporary twist.

Topping the bill is none other than the king of the bumpty Bump, Chicago’s finest Derrick Carter, a man set to start the next twelve months in the same emphatic fashion he has ended these in. This year he re-launched his seminal imprint Classic with a slew of parties and digitally enhanced beats, toured across the globe and even found time to showcase his love of disco and song based funk with a series of special Derrick does disco dammit events.

Support for Derrick comes in the shape of a hotbed of UK talent. Yousef heads up the list, a man who has taken his clubnight Circus into their tenth year with a staggering run of shows that has included the great and good of modern dance music. Jesse Rose, fresh off his recently Made for Night mini documentary and mix compilation, brings his own skewered house sound as does Leftroom records lynchpin Matt Tolfrey.
