Don't miss the Broadway classic, DAMN YANKEES, coming to the Morrison Center in Boise, March 13-15, 2012 as part of the Broadway In Boise 2011-2012 Season! "Six months out of every year, when we cook for them it never pays; Instead of praising our goulash, they're appraising the plays of Willie Mays!"... So sings the wife of a1950’s baseball fanatic who trades his sole to the Devil for a chance to lead his favorite team in the pennant race against The New York Yankees. He leaves her and the goulash behind and as young baseball sensation, Joe Hardy, he transforms the hapless Washington Senators into a winning team, only to realize the true worth of the life (and wife) he's left at home. With the help of a handy escape clause and a guilt-ridden temptress named Lola, Joe outsmarts the Devil, returns to his former self and shepherds the Senators to the World Series . Filled with hit songs like “Whatever Lola Wants” and “You Gotta Have Heart”, DAMN YANKEES hit 7 Tony Award winning home runs! Faust, fly balls, and devilishly good fun all meet at the home plate of the 7 Tony Award winning Broadway musical, DAMN YANKEES.
