Red Rack'em (Smugglers Inn, Bergerac) 3 Hour Set, Altered Natives (3024, Eye4eye), Fold! (HomePark), Lawson (NTS Radio), James & Tristan (Roost) playing house, broken beat, garage, boogie and techno

Once again we head to the venue that needs no introduction, the Horse and Groom, Shoreditch with a line up that we are really happy to have pulled together. We feel it represents some of the finest talent emerging coming from UK artists.
Line up...

Red Rack'em (Bergerac, Smugglers Inn):
We are chuffed to have invited him over to come and play!. Due to his recent relocation to Berlin and busy dj schedule its difficult to catch him in the UK, so don't miss this!. With his style effortlessly flowing between house, broken beat, garage, boogie and techno, he is a perfect match for Roost.
His 'Smugglers Inn' podcasts are renowned for airing some of the most upfront music with a twist of his sense of humour. Thanks to a slew of quality releases on respected labels like Tirk, Hometaping, Autodiscothèque and Undertones, Berlin based producer Danny Berman, aka Red Rack Em aka Hot Coins, is one of the most respected figures in UK underground house circles. Even the iconic broadcaster and beard stroker Gilles Peterson was moved to whisper delicately that Berman “can’t put a foot wrong”.
Production wise danny is as busy as ever. His own label Bergerac has put out two stunning releases so far with further planned in the new year. The second Red Rack'em album is currently being worked on as a follow up to Early Years released in 2010, which featured bombs including "You can't pray for your soul' "How we do' and 'Housey"
The recent release of a older track Kalimba - (Philomena), which is Innervisions vinyl only label which has been hammered by Dixon and the likes over the last 12 months. 2012 looks like a busy one for Danny as he has further Red Rack 'em singles planned for Bergerac and and a follow up album. For those who recently watched danny flexing the knobs on a phil collins classic mixing desk!!!, you will know that the next Hot Coins EP is now finished and ready for release!

Altered Natives (Eye4eye, 3024):
Dannys rapid rise through the ranks includes his deja vu fm show and very early releases propped by the likes of Domu and Zed Bias. Back in 2008 he firmly put his mark on the underground scene with "Rass Out'The huge success of “Rass Out” supported by the likes of Bok Bok, Karizma and Laurent Garnier to name a few enabled the track to get licensed to a few compilations including Martyns Fabric mix CD as well as Ministry Of Sounds UK Funky, Souljazz, two Rinse compilations and more. Following that he released his provocative remix of Ikonika “Idiot” on pioneering electronic label Hyperdub. Later he went onto release his second offering on Fresh Minute Music with a track titled “Believe in Me” featuring the sublime vocal talents of Sacha Williamson and also included a Zed Bias remix.A release on Martyn’s 3024 label soon followed, getting Altered Natives music to a wider, more international audience. Danny silently followed up to Altered Natives ‘1000 Days Of Patience’ album with yet another album, ‘Serial Vendetta’, which was Altered Natives unique representation of all what’s good about the uk’s underground bass music scene, from dutty broken and beyond.Look out for releases and remixes including his EYE4EYE RECORDINGS imprint, which continues to support the latest innovative sounds hand picked from the underground, as well being the output for his own productions. 2012 looks to be a very busy year for Altered Natives, with a label compilation on eye4eye recordings, the current instalment of "Tenement Yard Vol 2" destroying dance floors world wide as well as his many "secret" projects. Altered Natives Myspace
Fold!:The man behind the Fold alias is Rob Glassett, also one half of the London-based deep house duo HomePark. This project sees him explore a faster tempo, experimenting with both house and garage sounds whilst retaining select elements of deep house.
The quality of recent releases which include ‘Deployming’ displays the talent Fold’s has to offer. Rob joins us to play at Roost following some of his recent gigs including Northern Purpose at LIFE alongside Joy O.

Lawson:Playing what is always an incredibly fresh selection of house, techno, bass and other forms electronic music, Lawson has gained a great following from his NTS Radio show. With recent appearances across some of London's top venues, Lawson is most definitely one to watch!.
