BCS HCI 2012 is the 26th Annual Conference of the Specialist Human Computer Interaction (HCI) group of the British Computer Society. Since its establishment in 1985, the conference has become the leading annual HCI conference in Europe. As well as being a leading venue for dissemination, the conference has a history of nurturing research careers with many of the leading HCI researchers publishing their early papers here. It is recognised for helping students and new academics as much as being a leading forum for established researchers. This tradition continues into 2012.
The conference this year is hosted by the University of Birmingham's Centre for Human Computer Interaction. The theme for this year's conference will return to "People and Computers" in order to encapsulate and highlight the growing diversity of the field within a single event.
