More than 300 million people speak Russian, including the population of all former Union republics. As a first step, learn to read the Cyrillic alphabet. As you progress, acquire the phrases and vocabulary necessary to conduct basic business and have social conversation. Grammar will be kept to a minimum the emphasis will be on speaking, reading and developing your vocabulary.
