SOAS Radio Live is proud to present Orquesta Estelar are a unique, 25 piece big band playing hot salsa and Cuban classics.

In association with Radio Beyond Borders who is an organisation that works through student volunteers worldwide to promote the use of radio and other media to promote development and social cohesion. We work with community radio stations in developing countries to share skills, build capabilities and promote cultural exchange. Amazing cause.

In support is Mulele Matondo Afrika. Mulele writes songs and music, drawing from traditional, jazz, Latin and a little classical influenced African music with a sprinkling of political lyrical content in Lingala, French and a dash of English.

Soonafter, Movimientos man extraordinaire, Cal Jader steps up to the decks, celebrating new fusions of music; from Folk roots, to Latin Jazz, Salsa and Samba, to Cumbia, Ska, Flamenco, the urban beats of Hip Hop and Reggaeton and even more electronic and experimental sounds.
