The Windows - Market Street Transfomation Reveal & Party
Thursday February 9, 2012 from 5:30pm - 6:15pm
The Art Institute of California - San Francisco
1170 Market St.
San Francisco, California 94102 Get Directions
Free Walking Tour: 2/9/12, 5:30 - 6:15PM; Reveal Party Fundraiser: 2/9/12, 6:30PM

The Windows endeavors to transform central Market Street storefronts into beautiful and memorable window displays that will invigorate downtown pedestrian traffic, promote public art, and showcase the vibrant creativity of the Bay Area design community. Each display will be created by a local leading architecture and design firm and inspired by a piece of artwork and story created by a child living at Raphael House - a temporary home for families in crisis.

On February 9, The Art Institute of California - San Francisco invites the public to pick up a free map of the route and to start their tour of The Windows at the 10 UN Plaza campus building at 5:30PM.

Afterward, The Windows participants will join the Raphael House in its effort to renovate their facility with portions of Reveal Party fundraiser ticket sales. The party will be held from 5:30-8PM at the International Museum of Art of America. Tickets $30.

Event partners include The Northern California Chapter of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA), Raphael House, the San Francisco Arts Commission, The Art Institute of California - San Francisco, and the International Museum of Art of America. Leading local architecture and design firm teams to be revealed.
