Prevention magazine’s third “Prevention On the Run” kicks off in San Diego on Saturday, February 11th. Join us for a fun 5k, 10k, or ½ Marathon run, as well as a 1.5 mile “Mini Mermaid” run for girls ages 6-12 to introduce them to the world of running or power walking.

Make this race a family affair! Get creative and cheer on your favorite runners with our “Kids Corner” arts & crafts area where kids can decorate cheer signs and/or Valentines. After, soak in the sights of scenic Mission Bay and enjoy a festive post-race expo with Alison Sweeney (host of NBC’s “The Biggest Loser” and author of “The Mommy Diet”) and Prevention’s Fitness Editor, Jenna Bergen! Live music, giveaways, and special presentations will be featured throughout the day. Participants are also encouraged to bring a heart-healthy snack for donation to Feeding America; those who donate will be entered to win a Prevention prize package including a Wii and Wii Fit.
