The Act Now show has been the home for the campaign against music prejudice and genre frigidity since 2007. Presented by Airplays and broadcast on Brap.FM the show has taken in all the best aspects of Nu & Oldskool Dance, Ambient, Soul, Electronic, Dub, Experimental and a smidgen of Rock & Roll.
Airplays has always involved friends and acquaintances; featuring guest mixes and showcasing up-and-coming artists. Now at The Bloomsbury Lanes he’ll be bringing those friends along for a Multi-Genre-Disco-Party.

Dave is one of London’s most popular residents; playing regularly for Bad Apple alongside DJs such as Hector, Burnski & Adam Shelton. His sets for 2020 Vision and Ketoloco have seen him play on the same line-up as Inland Knights, Steve Bug, Ralph Lawson & Danny Raper. But enough of the name dropping; it’s the skills of a serious selector and master mixer that have got him where he is today and why he’ll be playing for your delectation. Expect proper House music.

As one of the promoters behind popular Drum & Bass night Audio Artillery, Crook has taken the suburbs by storm. He’s played all around the north of north London area, as far afield as Stockholm and supported Andy C at Poonana's in Norwich. It’s now once again time for London to watch her bassbins. Expect only the finest Drum & Bass.

As you already know Airplays is the host of the Act Now show. He’s been playing records since the days of mixtapes on cassette and found his love of the dance listening to jungle tapes and zooming around roller discos to the sounds of The Prodigy and 808 State. He’s played alongside the likes of Bonobo, A Skills, Cut La Roc, Klashnekoff & Peo De Pitte and is a resident DJ at Concrete Bar at The Hayward Gallery. Expect everything from 80’s Boogie Funk to Breaks and Northern Soul to Dubstep.
