Artists draw glamorous underground performers in an atmosphere of boozy conviviality. Found in 2005 in a dive bar in Brooklyn, Dr. Sketchy's has now spread to over 100 cities around the world.
Heading up Dr. Sketchy’s RVA branch is burlesque performer and Renaissance-woman, Deanna Danger. She hosts local burlesque performers, alternative models, circus-ters, and vaudevillians every third Wednesday of the month
Each session you can win prizes such as a delicious appetizer from Strange Matter, pasties, a book from Baby Tattoo, burlesque show tickets, Comicon tickets and comic books, cool art supplies or gift certificates to local art supply stores, and even passes to Dr. Sketchy’s sessions!
