Come take a trip to the museum in February - join Westfield Chicago Ridge and the Westfield Family Program for Family Fun Days featuring “Arts and Culture.” Kids will explore famous works of art and discover the artists within themselves.

February 17 will feature Egyptian themed stories, starting with “One Blue Hippo” by The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Children will practice counting with the help of works of art from the Metropolitan Museum’s Egyptian collection. The second book, “Tickle Tut’s Toes” by Julie Appel, explores the wonders of ancient Egypt including King Tut’s tomb, mummies, and Nefertiti’s tomb. Children will enjoy a tea time snack and create Egyptian inspired jewelry as well as an ancient Egyptian mobile.
