Come celebrate Black History Month at the West Deptford Free Public Library, 420 Crown Point Road, West Deptford, NJ on Sunday, February 12 at 3:00 p.m., as actor, storyteller and poet Rochel Garner Coleman dramatizes the lives of two fascinating historical characters in his one-man show, “I, Nat Love: The Story of Deadwood Dick.” He recreates the story, based upon Nat’s autobiography, of a slave born in Tennessee who went west at the age of 15 to seek freedom and opportunity. One of the most prominent and trusted Black cowboys of his era, Nat Love, also known as Deadwood Dick, lived the life of a roping, riding, bronco-busting and cattle-driving man. This free event is for all ages and registration is requested. Call the library at 856-845-5593 and for more information, visit www.westdeptford.lib.nj.us
