Congo Natty, Vagabondz & Redux Present:
The words of the one Congo Natty, the Conquering Lion, the Rebel MC.
Jungle United is a chance for us to share in his new vision for sound system culture, in this country and beyond. A bringing together of all Junglists - a reasoning of all the children of dub.
Just as the fuckery of 90s Thatcherism brought us a climate of poll tax riots and the criminal justice bill, Jungle music was born, derived from Dub. Now we see the rise of a new generation of Junglist, meeting heavy pressure with heavier pressure, uniting under bass.
"Dem can't tie our wrists, 'cause we're Junglists. As the imperialists use politricks to try and divide and rule, we must come together, hold the line, then cross the line, with faith in the power of we. Junglist Soldiers, marching into the dancehall, and when we do it we must do it with love. So wake up! 'Cause love is the key!"
This very special gathering includes Congo Natty himself playing a full live show with support from Tenor Fly, Nanci+Phoebe, Congo Dubz, and Marf. Alongside other original Junglists - Tippa Irie, The Ragga Twins, Kenny Ken, and Nicky Blackmarket. Whilst representing the best of the new school we have Lady Chann, Klashnekoff, Ras Buggsy, Wookie, and Serial Killaz amongst the names on this most heavyweight of line-ups. Reggae, Jungle, Drum n Bass, Garage, and Dubstep all represented to the fullest degree.
"Jungle United is inviting the world to be a part of this outer national vibration...
How good and pleasant it is for bredren and sistren to gather in perfect harmony...."
