This coming February VCU Music will enjoy the many talents of saxophonist, composer, bandleader, and educator Bob Mintzer. On Wednesday, February 15 he will perform his composition "Go" with the VCU Symphonic Wind Ensemble under the direction of Dr. Terry Austin. "Go" is a three-movement piece for tenor and concert band commissioned by a consortium of 50 schools. The next night, Thursday, February 16, he will guest with the VCU Jazz Orchestra I to perform several of his own compositions.
