Seattle, Washington Get Directions
Each month at the WBE Breakfast we present an inspirational speaker. Our speaker for March 2012 is Peggy Taylor M.Ed., Senior Advisor & Co-founder of Young Women Empowered.

Hear about Ms. Taylor's personal journey and how she discovered her own creative power-at a time when she needed it most. Learn to unlock and more effectively use creative thinking in every aspect of your life and explore how creativity impacts team and group dynamics.

Peggy's vast experience in founding and working with creativity in nonprofit organizations provides perspective and insight that help you understand, nurture, and channel creative thinking in your own life, allowing you to accomplish remarkable things.

With a Master's of Education in Creative Arts in Learning, Peggy brings over 30 years of experience as a social entrepreneur in both the non-profit and for-profit sectors, and has a track record of starting several cutting-edge programs. She recently co-founded a non-profit for teenaged girls called Young Women Empowered (YWE), where she serves as Senior Advisor for Curriculum and Facilitation. YWE is an inter-generational, intercultural teen girls' leadership and mentoring organization that imparts confidence and leadership skills in even the shyest young women, through the use of creativity. Peggy is also the co-founder of PYE Global and Power of Hope, two youth-empowerment organizations that build inter-generational and multicultural learning programs for teens and adults.

Peggy is a writer, musician, and creative development specialist. In the past 15 years, she has applied her expertise to the field of youth development and has trained several thousand youth workers and teachers. She also teaches artists methods for incorporating creativity into program facilitation and design. She was on the faculty of Bainbridge Graduate Institute, where she taught a class on Creativity and Right Livelihood to MBA students.

Networking starts promptly at 7:00 am.
