This exhibition is the first comparative study of the work of the three greatest jewelry and luxury good designers at the turn of the nineteenth century: Peter Carl Fabergé, Louis Comfort Tiffany, and René Lalique. Artistic Luxury will explore how these designers responded to the demand for luxury goods among the world’s Gilded Age consumers in the years leading up to the first world war. Each was known for his own characteristic style and achievement as well as geographical sphere of influence, which will be highlighted in this exhibition through separate galleries devoted to each jeweler. In the end, each of the artists was linked by a common purpose: to provide the most luxurious and artistic creations to their clientele. Tickets required, on sale soon.
