August is the best time of the year for many racing fans in the Northwest. That's because the Longacres Mile is just around the corner. The best local horses will take on invaders from California, Canada and possibly the Mid-West in this year's Mile. The 73rd Running of the $300,000 Longacres Mile will go postward on Sunday, August 17 at Emerald Downs.
