The news conference, scheduled for 10:00 a.m. at the main branch of the Detroit Public Library, is part of a day-long endeavor to help local residents prepare for the February 17, 2009 switch to digital television. Local broadcasters and MAB staff members will host a DTV conversion seminar at noon. The seminar will be held at the library as well and is open to the public to address any and all questions surrounding the digital conversion.
