The Pier Screenings, a series of four summer events, bring together content creators and online video aficionados in a casual setting. These events are live tests of how well online video survives the move from the PC to the gigantic screen, accompanied by entertaining commentary from our judges and informative talks by relevant, successful online video entrepreneurs.

We kick off the 2008 Pier Screenings series in San Francisco on July 31st. This month's topic is PILOTS. Please send us the first episode of your online show, whether it's been picked up or not, and our panel of judges and live audience will vote on whether they'd like to keep watching. We welcome all genres of shows.

The deadline to submit your video is July 24. The live event is the evening of July 31 in San Francisco.

Refreshments will include beer and movie theater fare. (Think popcorn and candy.) In the spirit of an outdoor screening, dress warmly. It can get cold near the bay!
