From 3:00-4:00 I'll be in room 228 for the 5th Comic Art Conference panel: Reconceptualizing Superheroics - My friend Robert O'Nale has a presentation wherein he considers superheroes within a larger genre of stories that focus on the notion of exceptionalism, and argues the current focus of superheroes is compelled by contrasting the exceptional individual with the outside world.
