Armitage Gone! Dance at Summer Stages Dance
Thursday July 20, 2006 at 8:00pm
Concord Academy Performing Arts Center
166 Main Street
Concord, Massachusetts 01742 Get Directions
Breathtakingly beautiful and brazenly off-kilter, the New England premiere of acclaimed choreographer Karole Armitage’s “in this dream that dogs me” explodes in every sense and remains vividly imprinted in your mind. Music composed by Annie Gosfield, scenery by contemporary artist and long time Armitage collaborator, David Salle, costumes by Peter Speliopoulos and lighting by Aaron Copp. According to the Village Voice, Armitage “presents the performers as molten steel cooling into stunning shapes, yet also reminds us that they're not clones of a technique but individuals, with minds, moods, and imperfections of their own.”
