See the Warsaw Philharmonic, one of Poland’s most distinguished musical institutions in their return engagement to New Brunswick! Since 1901, this renowned orchestra has showcased scores by such famous conductors as Chopin, Stravinsky, and Grieg. In addition to performing over 80 symphony concerts around the world each year, the orchestra has also recorded several CDs, appeared on Polish television and radio, and provided music for film soundtracks.

For the 2012-2013 tour, the Warsaw Philharmonic and Maestro Antoni Wit will be joined by 25-year-old Yulianna Avdeeva, the 2010 First Prize winner of the 16th International Frédéric Chopin Competition in Warsaw. The first woman to win this competition in 45 years, she was also awarded the Krystian Zimerman Prize for the best performance of a sonata.
