"North is a diverse musical project that has been active throughout Southeast Michigan and regionally since 1995. Driven by multi-instrumental composer/songwriters Joseph Mancuso and Markus Nee, North's acoustic-rock core branches out into the realms of folk, world, classical, progressive and a cappella styles to create a rich and evocative blend of sound for the eclectic and passionate music listener. This premiere concert celebrates the culmination of over a decade of honest, real-life artistry with an ever-growing musical family, and marks the release of the project's much-anticipated album featuring the work of Michigan heroes Brian Lillie and Jim Roll, drummer Hans Masing (The Witch Doctors, Blue Tango), Latin jazz percussionist Al DiBlassio (Los Gatos), Chicago's Jeff Elbel (Farewell To Juliet, Ping), award-winning world music artisan Tom Sharpe (SharpeWorldMusic, Dennis DeYoung), and an array of colorful local musical talent."
