Celebrate Pulitzer Prize winning composer Richard Wernick's 75th birthday with PCMS and Network for New Music at Settlement Music School on Sunday, October 13 at 3PM. Wernick's music has been described as capturing "a universal emotion of lament, a contrast of violence and serenity in musical language" (Albuquerque Journal), drawing nothing less than emotional, inspired responses from his audiences.

Wernick returns to PCMS in collaboration with Network for New Music, an organization dedicated to the commission and performance of music by living composers. NNM concerts-known for their intimacy and innovation-have been described by The Philadelphia Inquirer as infused with "a sense of freedom, ease, and maturity." PCMS also welcomes renowned guitarist David Starobin, hailed as "arguably the most influential American classical guitarist of the 20th century" (Soundboard Magazine), for this special afternoon performance.
