We are reaching out to community members for assistance with our Annual Back to School Fair. First, let me acquaint you with our organization. We started off as a temporary relief center for the victims of the 2010 earthquake in Haiti. Since then, we have expanded into a long term resource center for all Immigrants in Brooklyn and the surrounding communities. Our mission is to be a bridge to resources for all Immigrants, because so many of them are unaware of what is available to them. Many of them are struggling to acclimate their lives here. Another one of our goals is to provide comfort and ease during this transition. We have several ongoing programs in the center including our Adult Computer Training Course, ESL course, and Legal Immigration Services. We also provide resume building and job search assistance. The center is expanding everyday and we have a dedicated group of volunteers who devoted to our clients.
Every year HFRC hosts an Annual Back to School Fair for clients and for children in the community. During this event we give out the necessary school supplies (i.e. book bags, pencils, notebooks, etc...). This is an event that our clients and community members depend on every year. In an uncertain economy providing the children with supplies offers a sense of relief to families and gets the children excited for the upcoming school year. Any support from you would be greatly appreciated. We hope to hear from you soon. Attached you will find the flier for the event. If you have any questions feel free to contact our office via email. Thanks!!!!
