Thank you for using Upcoming! To help focus our efforts on core Yahoo! product experiences, we will discontinue Upcoming by 30th April 2013. You can find more details here
We are a vivacious, warm and interesting group of adults from all walks of life, that just so happen to have ADHD. We get together once a month to make friends, develop strategies and share the gifts of living with ADHD. We meet once a month on the second Thursday of every month in a cozy, comfortable and well lit community center.
Each month, there is a topical workshop where we strategize solutions to the most vexing challenges of ADHD. For example, in a recent meeting we did a workshop on "Coping with the Holidays" which included discussion on taking care of ourselves during this very distracting and stressful time of year. Members shared tips and tricks that help one another navigate the pitfalls of holiday work events, family gatherings and the multitude of TODOs that one must juggle this time of year.
Whether you have Adult ADHD, a loved one with ADHD, or you think you may have ADHD, you will feel like you've found a special connection here. The connection is something those of us with ADHD miss in our everyday lives because of ADHD's inherent invisibility as a "disability".
Resources for ADHD services are also available at the meeting and through our organization, Children and Adults with ADD -- www.CHADD.org
The meeting is hosted each month by April Ancel. For more information about the format of this gathering, the evening's topic, or referrals, please contact April at: 510-847-3177
