Oxford Geek Night #9
Wednesday October 22, 2008 from 7:30pm - 10:30pm
Jericho Tavern
56 Walton Street
Oxford, England OX2 6AE Get Directions
The geek nights are a way for local web developers, designers, programmers, neophiles or geeks of any other stripe to get together, chat, drink and listen to talks on new technologies and innovations.

= Keynotes =

Our two keynotes have been confirmed:

* TiddlyWiki and Project Cecily, by Jeremy Ruston of BT Osmosoft
* We Tell Stories, by Adrian Hon of Six To Start

= Microslots =

Microslots are five-minute "lightning talks" that anyone can volunteer for. They consist of around five to ten slides and the audience is generally friendly and interested!

Our confirmed microslots are:

* WSGI, by Rami Chowdhury
* Antivirus software: a false sense of security, by Matthew Thorne
* BCS Oxfordshire's Young Professional Group, by Jenny Adcock
* Current Cost hacking, by David Sheldon
* Using Google Mail for your business, by Matt Carey
* Price Wars, by Martin Chapman

Want to submit a five-minute microslot for OGNX, 21 January 2009? You can do that too:

Either way, see you on the night!

(OGN9 is a FREE event, sponsored by Torchbox, Google, Pearson and Moo.)
