TRIO CD Release Celebration

TRIO: Ken French, Ron Belcher, Jim Zimmerman

CD release celebration and San Francisco premier of new works for jazz piano trio

What happens when three seasoned accompanists--players who are among the favorites of the world-class stars with whom they work--show up at the same gig to accompany each other?!

Hear the musical magic when this talented rhythm section takes front stage to perform music they love, celebrating their new CD release, "TRIO."

Inspired by the rich tradition of jazz piano trios from Ahmad Jamal to Keith Jarrett, this ensemble will drop listeners into the groove from the first beat, keep the party going with classics from the American songbook, and turn up the heat with their original pieces.

Tune in and listen to Ken, Ron and Jim talk about their music and the concert with KCSM's Chris Cortez.
