Pieces of a Dream Performance Theatre is a professional dance company, located in Wilmington, Delaware. Pieces of a Dream's second company, P*D 2, is composed of students in middle school and high school. These students are selected based on their technical abilities and performance experience. P*D 2 is geared toward young artists who wish to enhance their current dance training by working with other dancers outside the walls of a traditional dance school.

Both companies are actively involved in community development, understanding that the arts are essential to personal growth. Understanding that teenagers have specific emotional needs and life concerns, members of P*D 2 also participate in skills development programs, such as college-planning and financial literacy seminars.

In addition to performing at various community events, Pieces of a Dream Performance Theater contributes to the production of the company's annual concert. The uniqueness of each choreographer adds variety to this modern dance-based repertorie, while simultaneously blending to create a complete vision.

Pieces of a Dream, Inc. offers open company technique class for adults at the intermediate and advanced levels. Classes are held on Sundays at our rehearsal studio, Danceworks Dance Studio (413A New London Rd., Newark, DE 19711), from 3:00 - 4:30 PM. The 90-minute technique class costs just $10.
