Our goal is to bring together all progressives and progressive groups in Illinois, and one step towards that goal is establishing a shared calendar of all events of interest to Illinois progressives.
How?
Upcoming.org is an open system that allows you to create your own events, your own group, join multiple groups, link your events to multiple groups, and use simple code already provided to display your group's events on your website. By making it easier for groups to list their events on their own website and the public calendar that is upcoming.org, and making it only a one click process to make any event also a Prairie State Blue event, using this system should get more progressive groups to list their events and make them more visible to all progressives.
If this sounds good to you, heres what to do:
- join upcoming.org
- join this group, PSB, and add your own group on upcoming.org
- add your events and link them to your group
- for any progressive political events that you add, also link them to PSB
- add a badge for your group on your group's website
