The Effort to Repeal the Anchorage Smoking Ban...

The Libertarian Party of Alaska is Heavily involved with repealing the Anchorage smoking ban. The effort is focused around the site: http://www.stomptheban.com

You can contribute online there. This is a popular property rights issue, with growing support. If you contribute to this, you are contributing to an intelligent and growing plan to protect property rights in the last frontier.

The tirade I feel compelled to deliver, deluding myself that any libertarians are actually paying attention, and in possession of basic strategy skills:
(((Alaska has only 466,258 registered voters. Only 238,307 (51.1%) of Alaska's voters voted last election. Most city council races could easily be won with 1,000 votes.

All a libertarian has to do in AK is let people know where they stand (and not be a blithering confusing idiot who "sounds like a liberal"!), and they coast into office. The whole State legislature could easily be won.

Were the LP to allocate a disproportionate amount of money (and intelligent strategy to AK -and there's the kicker!), AK would instantly be libertarian. But the LP is its own worst enemy when it comes to strategy, usually.)))

That's been changing in AK, under the chairmanship of Jason Dowell. He halfway understands people.

Call Zach Keeton at: 907-770-0207 if you want to contribute to the smoking ban repeal. Call Jason Dowell if you want to help elect him to City Assembly (or at least cost the ban's sponsor enough votes that he loses...): 907-727-5298

Or even: CONTRIBUTE ONLINE to a party that will actually put the money to good use! http://www.lpalaska.org (Soon to be changed and upgraded.)
