On 25th May at 6.30 pm David Edgerton's will be talking about 'The Shock of the Old: Technology in Global History Since 1900', offering a global account of the place of technology in twentieth century history. It will aim to challenge the idea that we live in an era of ever increasing change and so dismisses naivetes about 'the information age'. Interweaving political and cultural history, it shows what it means to think critically about technology and its importance.
