Lauren Hale Dance Presents
"Naomi and Ruth"
Saturday, May 12th, 2PM and 4PM at the Museum of Biblical Art (MOBIA) located at 815 Broadway and 61st Street.

There will be two showings of the dance, one at 2 PM and one at 4 PM, with dancer/audience talk-back sessions occuring after each one. The piece is a women's duet inspired by the Book of Ruth in the Old Testament that explores how ancient biblical themes can be portrayed in the secular and abstract form of modern dance. It deals with loss, bereavement, and migration as well as female loyalty, kinship, and rebirth.
Audience members can also feel free to view the museum's beautiful gallery space with the current exhibition Angels of Light: Ethiopian Art from the Walters Art Museum.
